Creative Food Ingredients was founded in the mid 1990’s by the father and son team of William and Michael O’Flaherty, another family with a long history of involvement in the food industry.
Baked ingredient products were the prime concentration for CFI, and growth quickly came given the company’s commitment and focus on quality and a highly specialized group of products.
Following CFI’s introduction to the Serventi family, the manufacturing of our products began at the Lincoln Avenue location in the late 1990’s. As we ventured into the year 2000, circumstances and the desire for new challenges set in, and the Serventi family divested of their interest in the bakery operation.
CFI continued to work with the new owners through the next few years to ensure that our products were made to the same high standards expected by our clients. Eventually in 2005, the O’Flaherty family took advantage of a market opportunity and became a full fledged manufacturer by acquiring the assets of the Lincoln Avenue location.
CFI has grown as both an innovative manufacturer and a top local employer. In 2020, CFI joined Parker Products. Together, our complementary product lines and shared passion for innovation and quality now offer customers even more unique ingredients, additions, and flavors.
Today, we are extremely happy to employ over 200 team members operating seven continuous band ovens in three different buildings, making several of the same products that we did at the very beginning of our journey.
